EMS Run Sheet ("the app") is made for EMS providers to keep track of call times and call details. This policy explains what the app does with information. The short version: everything you enter stays on your iPhone. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising.

What the app stores, and where

Call times, addresses, notes, patient details you enter or scan, vitals, MRNs, photos and your settings are stored only on your iPhone, inside the app. We (the developer) never receive them. Patient details and photos are shown only after Face ID or your passcode.

Photos taken in the app (scene photos and scanned cards, pages, bottles and plates) are kept in the app's own protected storage. They are not saved to your Photos library and are excluded from iCloud backups. Other app data may be included in your iPhone's own backup, as with any app.

Location

The app uses your location during a call to mark en route, on scene, transporting, at hospital and back in service, and to show distances and drive times. If you turn on automatic shift tracking, it watches for arriving at and leaving your base. Location is used on the phone and is not sent to us.

Camera and microphone

The camera reads licenses, insurance cards, plates, medication labels and documents. The text is recognized on the iPhone. The microphone is used when you dictate a note and, only if you turn it on, to listen for your unit's call sign on the radio. Speech is turned into text on the iPhone when the phone supports it; otherwise Apple's speech recognition service processes it under Apple's privacy policy. Audio is not recorded or kept.

Contacts

If you choose "Fill from Contacts", the app looks up phone numbers for hospitals and dispatch centers in your contacts, on the phone. Nothing is copied off the phone.

Services the app uses

• Apple Maps to find addresses and drive times. The address or location you're looking up is sent to Apple.
• OpenStreetMap (Overpass servers), only if you tap to download highway exits for a home area outside the built-in region. The map area is sent; no personal information.
• Directions apps (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, MapQuest) if you choose to open one. The destination is passed to that app.
• TestFlight during the beta: Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with the developer.

Sharing

Information leaves the app only when you share it yourself, for example sending a call summary to your partner by AirDrop or Messages, calling a hospital, or showing the registration screen. You are responsible for sharing patient information in line with your agency's policies and the law.

Deleting your information

Delete a call in the call log to remove it and its photos. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Children

The app is made for EMS professionals and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
